"First Falls"
I think that waterfalls equally fascinate and terrify many artists. I know it was the case with me. So I was quite determined to capture, to the best of my abilities, the power and serene beauty of this well-known spot.
The Natural Arch in southeast Queensland is a place that I have visited many times in my life and I have always been entranced by it. This work is acrylic and pastel on paper and was a definite labour of love. I am sure I spent more time just looking at it and stressing about it than I did actually painting it.
