| | | | | | | | | The tradition of travellers to build a cairn in a place of significance is one which I have followed where I have travelled. I fell in love with this amazing spot on the western side of the south island of New Zealand. With it's huge trout swimming in crystal clear pools, the tumbling water rushing along the pebbled shore and the imposing waterfall which roared it's overtones to the whole experience. The treasures that this small place held to many travellers was made evident by the flurry of small cairns that dotted the stream edges, none so magnificent as this one to which my daughter and I added a small contribution.
